I'm back from Van! Wow, that went by WAY too fast. Montral (more likely, most of southern Qubec?) is having an epic heatwave and I am none too pleased. Vancouver decided to be gray and rainy for most of the trip but there were some gorgeous days as well. Regardless, the mild temperature was super refreshing. Too bad I can't bring weather back with me to Montral....
Trip highlights....I learned how to use Instagram!
I took this lovely photo of Yulia at English Bay
Then this awesomely stupid photo of me and my lady happened
Then there was an attempt to see the surrealist exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG! Really?! Who names a major art museum VAG?! This is the greatest thing ever)... which didn't happen... but I did document my girlfriend's rat tail and aviators.
Besides Yulia, I had some hang outs with Shanti & Cheri, and met Malloreigh and her lady, who reminded me so much of someone and I still can't figure out who.
I stayed with my cousin and the world's largest cat, Caesar. Now, Caesar isn't a very fat cat. He is just a bear. I have pictures of me holding him, and if I post them you will die laughing. Upon returning to MTL, my cat seems very very tiny. She is definitely an itsybitsy kitty, but after spending a week with Caesar, she looks like a fuckin gerbil or something.
So I'm back in Montral and things are not so good and this place isn't home and I'm beginning to see shit I really don't like. It felt like I had rocks in my stomach while in the cab home from the airport. Latent anxiety. Bouts of nausea. It's not the heat, it's just here. It's made worse by being in that home stretch, those last months where making any change would be so fucking absurd that I just can't do it. The end of this chapter is in sight, so close I can practically taste it, smell it, grab it, but it's just out of reach. So what next?
