I am sitting at home today instead of work.
My genius company decided to tar the roof that we work in (a secured facility that use to be a tiling warehouse just redone for us....no windows to open and no doors that lead out that they don't lock up except the one we have to go through to a breakroom). So we have been breathing in strong fumes since monday.... I was not the only one that whined about issues with body. Blurred vision (often double vision), dizziness, strong headaches, lightheadedness, dryheaving, irritable lungs (started using my inhaler again this week), .....among the top problems..... I was upset yesterday when I came in and the smell hit so hard when first walk in. 2 doors open in the whole building to take care of this issue and that was on the third day they decided to do that. plus tuesday was suppose to do last of it. I could barely keep my eyes open and that was with plenty of sleep, half a can of redbull and caffeine. so I called my doctor as soon as I could reach him. they couldn't get me in till this morning and if I got worse before than that I should go in to the emergency room. Great what I need without insurance.
I know how to be allowed to leave work. Ask for MSDS papers. They told me that is not what I was "looking" for. I said I need to have what says what is used on the building so I can let my doctors know what I have been exposed to. This was like after 20 minutes after telling my manager that I wanted the paperwork and then being pulled to the floor managers office. they said I have taken worse than others (haha admitting ppl aren't feeling well). hey I have hived out from household cleaners real easily). They let me know that they have no paperwork of any kind like that cause they don't need to- pll are contracted to work on roof and they aren't doing it- they own the fricking building..... crazy ppl. I can play stupid but I am not stupid. that I thought was funny. so since I don't feel well I should go home and relax. They didn't give me any paperwork I requested that should be made available for employees.
I went to the doctors today. good news.... my lungs sound better than they did last month. I finally paid off my last doctor visit today. I was prescribed big blood red pills and then got labwork done. The guy that stuck me with needles was actually pretty cool. I am hard to draw blood from. my veins roll and ppl usually stick me alot and roll the needle in a way that it hurts. he took a while to get blood and had to roll the needle but it was pretty painless compared to what I am use to. I was very impressed and he was funny. Though the girl earlier today couldn't get my heart rate. Which isn't easy to get from me too. I have trouble finding it even when I work out hard though it is a little easier then too.
I have to stop freaking jojo out with my issues. last time he hit his car into someone elses barely but broke headlight which he can't find a replacement for. this time I got him upset that he dropped his cell phone in the toilet. it is working a little bit but he will have a new one wednesday. though that one I got it so the techs couldn't figure out it was soaked yesterday. about a month ago I did it for a friend that dropped hers in the toilet.....
