I've started giving some serious thought to what I should do next. I still plan on moving back to the US, so I need to find a way to make that happen. I'm getting increasingly fed up with the magazine I'm writing for, and while I had previously hoped to keep writing for them after the move, I now think it would be better to find other work. There's a guy in Detroit who I worked with on a couple of stories, and he's talking about starting up his own magazine. He's offered me the Editor-in-Chief job, which would obviously be great, but I just don't know how serious he is. I don't exactly have any start-up capital, so it would be entirely up to him to put up the money and then hand me the reigns. If that's actually going to happen, then I'm on-board, but I'm a bit apprehensive about committing to the project and moving to Detroit without everything set in stone. My other option is an old-fashioned job hunt, which I am not looking forward to.
