i stumbled across a photobucket album full of pin up shots that my lovely and i took back in grade ten. they strike me as charming, youthful, illegal, yes, very very illegal.

I'm being very haphazard with my words, lately, and I blame Kerouac whom I have finally (finally) started to read. The Lonesome Traveller and On The Road simultaneously, not a feat to be undertaken lightly. Truthfully, I'm enjoying Traveller much more. There is so much word in there. It's a mishmash of word. A fruity stew of chewy, chewy word. Are the kids still saying super fresh?

I've come to realize how much I love the word "jewish", if you just say it on it's own, free of meaning or connotation. isn't is just such a delicious word? it makes me feel like i'm eating taffee. say it. it's fantastic.

hear ye! hear ye! jack the girl has finally, FINALLY seen the matrix, and lo, shalt pronounce her benediction upon it's film-y head: it was okay. but i really honestly wasn't that impressed. in the lag between it's coming out (1999) and my seeing it (2006) i've been around to witness it's progeny - greasy drama nerds riddled with pimples talking philosophy and strutting around in trench coats and combat boots. I read a book called "The Rebel Sell" that used the Matrix in a comparison, so I was already well versed in differences between those who live in and out of the Matrix. And, thanks to the video game that my brother will simply not stop playing, I had pretty much seen all of the fight scenes before I watched the movie itself, so all that was left of it was...the dialogue. And characterization.

Really, really, REALLY not the Wachowski Brother's forte.

"Better strap yourself in, Dorothy. Kansas is going bye bye!"

Shoot me.

So yeah, I was a little disappointed. After "Serenity", I am spoiled for Sci-Fi movies, and...alright, alright, honestly, this is the part that bugged me the most: Neo and Trinity. What the fuck? I've never seen less sexual tension in my life. When I watched the second move, I was honestly confused when I saw them SLEEPING TOGETHER. What in lucifer? When did this happen? Did I miss something, like, oh, I don't know...CHEMISTRY?

But while we're on the subject: O Brother, Where Art Thou? Delightful. And not just because of the George Clooney factor (although that weighs in heavily. And...sexily.)

Punchline:

****stumbles upon your page****
You, dear girl, seem like a very interesting person.
Kerouac = ♥
Personally Desolation Angels is my favorite by him, he has a way with words that really is like no other.
I think The Matrix kinda sucked.... it was entertaining and all but way too built up and glamorized for the reality of it.
O Brother Where Art Thou is one of my favorites. "We thought you was a tooooad"
Hope you don't mind if I befriend you, you seem like an awesome person smile
