So, let me tell you a little about this set...
It was shot on Gabriola island, at like 5:30 a.m. We checked the weather, we checked the tides. Everything was schedualed to be perfect... We get up at four a.m, after going to be around 1, and hike our asses out to this rock, as I need look outs because it's a public area.
Dragon Rock is a one hourish hike, and the tides had just gone down, so it was scary slippery. One of my friends almost didn`t make it, it was very scary. When we had hiked it before it was the middle of the day, and very dry, and much easier. So we get out there, and as the sun is starting to lighten the sky... clouds. CLOUDS! They roll in, and cover what should have been a beautiful, burning sunrise. According to the weather, there was supposed to be perfectly clear skies all day. This was the only chance to do this set, because I was leaving the next day... and I put hours into collecting the things I needed to wear in my hair and making the little strings with them suspended on it.
Have you ever felt your nipples turn into little frozen nubs? I HAVE! I WAS SO FUCKIN COLD! This morning was so fucking cold, that my two friends sat, played guitar, and wore the clothed I had taken off.
The friggin rocks, while epicly cool to behold, were also like sand paper on my bare skin... not smooth at all, and they hurt to pose on immensely, so I tried to stay on my toes -alot- and would randomly stop shooting to cling to someone with body heat, as I had none. Shooting takes a really long time when you can't see the angle, and have to readjust every few shots.
Then the hike back was even wetter, and slipperier, as the tide started to come in and was splashing up at the rocks! At high tide, you can't get out to this rock we shot on... so we were husseling, and my less graceful friend was really in a panic about it all, but we just managed to make it without any serious splashes and injury! So here you guys are in MR this afternoon, Siren at Dragon Rock.
