My sick was a terrible, horrible, RESPIRATORY INFECTION! It was bad, but i killed it. I missed my really important wrestling match though, i felt like a total dipshit cancelling. There are so few women who wrestle Pro style, and they couldn't get anyone to cover. I was hoping I'd beat my sick, but it held me down... Gr.
I have a ten man battle royale this week coming! They're my favorite, you just go in and kick the crap outta each other! I love coming out with chop marks all over, so I'm super stoked to give few pay outs to a few people i owe! Bwahahahaha!
I'm excitedly planning my next shoot, which should take place two weekends from now when i actually have a day off. I hope. I work four jobs, so it's very hard to schedual. I need to find the right set though, because the idea is very specific... and I'm not sure how to approach it. It'll be wicked, so I'm not going to say much about it.
My first museum exhibit went up last Friday, and I'm very happy with it. It's a selection of images from a trip to Ecuador, centered around a cooperative of women who are attempting to become Fair Trade certified. Fair Trade certification is very expensive, and takes a lot of work, and because of their situation (being way up in the Andes without a secure way of communication) it limits their ability to make the proper contacts. I'm hoping to raise some money for them, to help the community and cooperative. They work with something called Paja Toquilla, which is a relative of the palm and is dried into straw like strips, and then wolven. They made Panama hats, which are actually made in Ecuador, as well as a large variety of other exquisitely beautiful works.
I do prints of all of these, plus many more. If your interested let me know! All the proceeds go back to the women to help them in their struggle for Fair Trade!
