I am very excited to have shot my second set, although sadly enough i'm unsure if it will be accepted. The lighting wasn't tip top, but it's because of the set i used. Dark blue walls, so that the orange chair and the yellow piano seat would stand out. The colors were meant to pop, and i believe the dark walls, although not bouncing light effectively, created a really cool contrast. Unfortunately, it also means the lighting was a really soft yellow glow. It's what i was aiming for, because i wanted it to have a sort of candle light dream feeling... but in the after results, i'm not sure how well it translated onto camera.
I am however, -very- happy with it! Despite the issues with the camera itself, the poses, expressions, and story was really super cute!
I was at Value Village the other day, and found a four foot long bright pink caterpillar! Well, pair that with my hooka and we have the making of an alice in wonderland type set! So i did a set where i sat and posed, and smoked my hookah. Along comes this caterpillar because he was some too! Oh no! Where did this giant bug come from!? But then i realized he just wanted to chill and smoke, so we became friends... then he used his many little tricky hands to undress me! Oh no! But how could anyone resist something so cute?!
I really love the set, and i'll be heart broken if it gets rejected... but the problems with a dark setting are difficult to deal with, without using the lights so bright they drown out the model. I didnt want to be drowned out, i have a golden glow to my skin that i wanted to keep, and didnt want to be paled out and whitened... Oh well! I had a fun time, and can't wait to get some constructive advice!
