Oh my god I'm so exaushgted right now! I've probably worked over thrity-six hours in the last three days! yet I'm so happy about this job. so if your wondering what I'm talking about here's how it goes. I went to school for film just after high school at a place called full sail. I graduated just after I turned ninteen, did internships for about a year that went one where. ended up having to get a job to pay the bills. yet the thing is if you want to work in production in the film industry you get caught in the catch-22 that you can't work the one day jobs cause you don't want to quit your job for a one day gig. yet those one day gigs up the chances of getting hired on for bigger jobs.
so in the last few monthes I realized that I'm going to hate any job that isn't in the film industry. So I stopped working for the temp agency I was with, and took up a job as a server in a burrito place. started up an internship with this really good company, impressed an AD that was working there, and when he got hired on for a job coming to town for iceland for ten days. for which he decided to bring me with him on the job. what's really funny is I still haven't read the script for the film, I just found out what the film's about by looking it up on imdb.
what's really funny is when I took the job at the burrito place the plan was to work it for no more than six monthes. than when I got the internship I was told that there was a good chance for getting hired on for projects that would be starting up at the end of the summer. so than my thought was alright all I have to do is deal with this shitty job for three monthes. I think the total time I worked at the burrito place was maybe just over a month.
So for the time being I'm working has a PA which I'm not wild about, but I have to start some where. more than likely I'll end up going into G & E, or possibly camera department. but who knows for sure right now.
really need to buy a bunch of gear when I have the money to, since I'm starting to meet people that can help me do projects of my own. I need to get some sort of prosumer video cam, a mac to edit on, and a decent still photography cam so I can improve on my skills in that area, since to be honest that feels like my weakest area. which I really don't like.

As for the Mac. All you have to do is save a little bit every week. It takes time, but in the end its worth it. I was sooo broke once and I got back into bartending just so I could buy a Mac. I worked my ass off because of how bad I needed one, and wanted one that I bought one in one month. It was a very good day.
You'll be fine. Shoot for the stars.
