Tomorrow's my birthday. Feel pretty good about it, and life in general, though it is such a fragile thing.
darke:
Happy birthday, hope it's a good one.

You know, .. thank you. For your response on the mother thing, or mothers in general. I tend to agree, they are far worse as far as the damage they cause, and I'm not sure why -- but possibly because of the role they're -supposed- to play, the nurturer, etc. Is it just the contrast, when they turn the other way? Or that, coupled with our expectation and need of them? Or .. I don't know. But when they're toxic, it's pretty severe.

So I guess, thank you for understanding, and I really appreciated your .. conclusion, s'far as where to go from here, or when the time comes.
toothpickmoe:
Cheers to that.

The day is as grey as my mood.
I want nothing but to be at home, naked, under a wrap, on the couch, with a drink and a book.
Instead, it's "public face" all day.

For those of you who read that as "pubic face" HA! smile

Seriously questioning my role in all this hoopla.

Thank god for porn. biggrin

**edit**

I REALLY want to see someone...

So, I think I've decided to just accept the fact that:
1. I'm a horny perv
2. I spend time on SG mainly looking at sets and in the sex themed groups I subscribe to

So I think this will just be the place where I openly explore that side of me in blog form.
I have always been a little reticent to share that...

Moved back to Missouri for a job that paid better, spending a few months out of the year wifeless because she's doing field research projects (she got back in August this year), met a girl, kissed a girl, lost a girl, and mostly battling my own psyche. You, know, the usual. H'bout you?
darke:
I hear that. I think I'm in the process of getting one, or at least something more resembling one than the previous three years. Don't feel stagnant, anyway. Still have a little bit of hope, while not holding my breath.

Monday blahs.

Weekend was great, though exhausting, and over WAY too quickly.

Friday:
Went home and baked a cake. A Kraken Rum Cake, to be exact. Holy drunken squids, it was delicious.

Saturday:
To the shop to celebrate National Maritime Day. We dressed up like 18th century sailors, drank a lot of tea, ate the Rum Cake (yay), watched Captain Blood and Master and Commander,...

Thanks! They are .. most of the time. Though in fairness, they're not exactly mine -- they're adopted, or step-children, or whatever. So I don't have that unconditional love thing going on just yet. They're handfuls. Lol.

"The media counterestablishment of the right ... offers an ersatz system of direct representation in which an increasingly segmented audience absorbs what it wants from its trusted sources, embellishes it in their own voices on blogs and websites and chatrooms, then hears their views echoed back as news. While this ... doesnt threaten our system of representative democracy, it certainly makes it harder for it...

We have our moments, I suppose.

I personally think this particular movement is getting a little too much attention recently.

Since I've taken to pipe smoking in addition to cigars I've kinda quit purchasing inexpensive cigars because the pipe tobacco is cheaper and does a good job of bringing my everyday cost down. A really good cheaper cigar I used to smoke a lot were Sancho Panza cigars. At a shop one might cost you a few bucks but at a site like Famous Smoke Shop you can get bundles and boxes of twenty between $34 to $58 which is like a dollar something to just under three bucks a piece. And they are cigar smokers cigars. They are not the super mild variety that would be recommended to a brand new smoker. Check those out for sure.
