What a wonderful way to wake up. Though not a very good night's sleep. Lots of dog activity last night- we've been gone for nearly 2 days, and they just let the zanys build up until they explode. They exploded last night. So, kind of up and down, with a lot of dreaming thrown in between. Plus, I had to get up twice for the necessaries. Not very fun.
Tangentially, seems like a lot of people on here have been dreaming exceptionally odd/colourful/prolific dreams the past few days. Is this somehting that transmits thriough the air or something? R and I both have been dreaming psychotically this weekend- weird stuff too. Well, a lot about the Faire for me, as it's what takes up all the time on the weekends, and they have been combining into reenacting dreams for me, which I tend to get a lot. Usually in the "we need to be over here but can't get there no matter how hard we try variety". Hmph.
Anyway, poor sleeping, but I have a day off today, so it was a nice lazy wakeup. R came in a snuggled a bit, we get to meander around the house (or sit at the computers) naked most of the day if we wish, we have some excellent movies/tv to watch (anyone seen the Brit "Whose Line is it Anyway"? It's fackin hilarious!) and lots of crafting/handwork to do. I may even forge a bit today!! I have an excellent idea for making naval boarding pikes! (yep- I'm a total nerd)
Had a great time this weekend. The Faire has really grown on me- I get the same Monday post-partum blues from it that I do a Rev event. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I know most of it is because of all the awesome friends we've made this year. We've gotten very close very quick to a number of folks, and I think most of them will become long term frindships. It's a nice feeling. Our booth is kinda a hangout, and it really makes the days pleasant- lots of music, talking, gossip, friends coming over to say hi, etc. We've also been selling some stuff, which is cool too!
Bossy and Myth came over friday- we ate lasagna, played music til late, laughed- i think there may be the nugget of something real cool there. We'll see where it leads. We went out to Hometown Sat after Fair for pizza- that was fun too, though i was totally wiped. Not as resilient as I used to be i suppose And Sunday we celebrated HoppingViola's birthday at (drumroll please)............Crack Barrel!! Good times. Ate, laughed,. etc all over again. I like our little core of friends (sounds dirty, don't it) and all our cast friends come by and visit too!
Anyway, enugh gushing. Looking forward to a nice productive yet relaxed day, and glowing from all the new directions life is taking is. Ain't it grand?
