What a surprise!!
I log on today, and find that the ENTIRE SITE LAYOUT HAS CHANGED!!
Along with there being some new things, such as tags.
Can anyone please explain these to me?
I'm at a loss as to tags.
Anyway, I think i like it, though it now takes EVEN LONGER for my poor dial up connection to download. this is why i don't do much SG'ing at home, usuually at the office, and hence only if I get a chance during the day.
I wish to god high speed would come to Henry County.
Hey, guess what?
IT"S RAINING AGAIN TODAY!! HA HA!!! *insert maniacal laughter here*
We had a seriously loud thunderstorm last night.
Hey, the Ren Fair was cool. I was very pleased, and surprised to some degree. I've always thought of myself as "hardcore" reenactor, threadcounter, etc. But the authenticity or lack thereof didn't bother me a bit. ust a bunch of people who get to reinvent themselves anyway they wsh, and have a damn good tme doing it.
The site is fantastic. they have about 50 acres for 20 years, and built roads, gates, a palisade, shops, kitches, tournament rings etc all since last September. Lots of local folks, but tons from other places too- Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas- lots of Faire Folk and lots of just plain folk too.
Heh heh. I got to drink beer and cider all day long yesterday.
I made some leather work, Regan had a couple of readings, we wandered, saw the sights- The Singing Milkmaids, Notty Nickers, Liams Fancy, The Muckmasters, The Pickle Brothers, and a truly awesome group of traditional Egyptian/Ottoman "bellydancers". they don't like the bellydancers tag, as what they do is based on tradition, not the 1920's cabaret style.
It was a good time.
So I wanna hear the details of everyones weekend.
Where'd you go?
What'd you do?
Who'd you do it with?

I can't decide if I'm dressing as a belly-dancer, a pirate, or a wench for my next Faire.
