Today is a perfectly geeky day. Its all rainy and gloomy here but there are so many geektastic movies on tv. Perfect for being stuck inside. I mean really geeky movies...
LORD OF THE RINGS MARATHON on one channel,
STAR WARS TRILOGY on another channel,
Willy Wonka on yet another channel.
So since I had the day off because I was suppose to go down to Wisconsin but the plans fell through I decided to give in to the geek-atude of the situation. I have been flipping back and forth all day watching these(mostly LOTR).
And I decided that since it felt so spring-like yesterday and its all april showers today I'd have indoor picnic so much as I would cook up some burgers and have some tasty melon and random fruits, a bowl of cottage cheese, blue corn chips, chocolate chip cookies and diet coke. The only thing missing were ants trying to invade my delicious food stufts.
This is the first time in a long time I've gone all out and made real food for myself that wasn't a frozen pizza or Mac and cheese. It felt good to pretend like there was a reason to go all out and treat myself.
So I'm still in the middle of the LOTR marathon since those damn commericals make the movie longer as if these movies need to be any longer.
Not sure maybe I'll continue the geekdom by playing some video games once this is over.
Spring time always makes me feel good even when its all rainy, rainy. Still miles better than below zero and a foot of snow.
