Brain is Hanging upside down( Austin goes to Bitburg)
Spent my afternoon cleaning and smoking, getting all my ducks in a row for San Diego. I've got my rental car booked, in the process of getting everything packed up and I've got my birth certificate so hopefully I can go down to T.J for a day. Oh the excitement is palpable. Still slightly nervous for the actual flight. I am not a flyboy in the least. It's the take off mostly that gets me. I think its just the complete lack of control of the aircraft. I don't know what is going on in the pilots life, maybe his wife just left him or the bank foreclosed on his house, in other words, its hard to trust that the pilots head is in the game. Plus I'm just a natural born worrier. I've flown before and nothing bad has happened and chances are the flight will be uneventful but I'll probably be in the airport cocktail lounge having a few glasses of liquid courage just to calm the nerves and slow my roll.
I just can't wait to feel the warm air and scope out the beach for more than a half hour like the last time I was in So Cal. That was a debacle and a nightmare all rolled into one tight little Godzilla roll. That time I might have been in California for about 10 hours max including driving in and back out. This time I get to explore and enjoy and relax with my buddy Leif. I got some advice on some good restaurants to check out and some bars that are fun. Can't wait.
Another interesting addition to my life at work is that I've been asked to take over the scheduling duties. Steppin' up in the world. Learnin' new skills. I created a spreadsheet the other day on my computer so it shouldn't be too hard I don't think. Though with the film festival coming up in April it may get a bit tricky. Not worried about that yet.
I've been thinking of moving in with someone once my lease is up in August. Getting a two bedroom with someone would slash my living expenses though having to negotiate cleaning routines with someone else might pose inconvenient. Talked about moving in with Dan during our now weekly Thirsty Thursday trips to Liquor Lyles then we usually head over to our friend Eric and his boyfriend's place to have a few more and play video games. It would be cool if Adam could move up here too. Hopefully if plans work out I'd like to find a place in the same area though maybe slightly closer to Lyndale.
Oh yea, I've started fleshing out my script/movie idea that I've be kicking around for that past two years. The other day I sat my lazy ass down and typed out the plot and general idea for the characters and plot points. Next step is to give detail to the charaters and begin dialogue. I may take a screenwriting class before I start on dialogue, just for the sake of saving rewriting the entire thing later.
I am so excited for warm weather, this begins my favorite time of year, when everyone comes out of hibernation and I can put my heavy coat away and everything smells like newness. I love having all the possibilities of summertime ahead of me whether plans end up going through or not, just the though of what could happen is inspiring. Wow, I think that is probably the most optimistic coherent thought that has come out of my head in along time. See what springtime does.

Good luck with your screenplay!
