So...Went to see AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE on Sunday night.
On my ticket it said....LIVE AT THE GARAGE...So I get to THE GARAGE (my favorate venue) Only to find it was SHUT!
Nobody was about either???
For some reason we decided to go take a look at "The mean fiddler" before giving up and just going to the pub to get pissed. Low and behold...They were playing there! We must have a 6th sence.
But what a pisser... changing the venue without letting anyone know!
Anyway..The gig was great. Athough, I saw them at the underworld a couple of years ago and that was definatly better. The atmosphere wasnt quite there this time.
Dont you always find that live gigs are better before the band becomes popular? Not that i dont wish all good bands to get the noteriatty (Cant spell) they deserve but larger venues dont have the raw atmosphere..and the intensity of the music seems to lack when they get popular. Like everything they were 'singing' about has no meaning anymore.
...or maybe its just me?
Also, i never understand these people that spend the ENTIRE time watching the gig through the screen of there mobile camera phone, instead of just watching the gig!
Although i have done it ONCE. Lars, my beloved Lars, and it was only the one pic cause he spent more time waffelling about himself than actually playing. lol.
Anyway, i will stop ranting now.
