So to answer questions of everyone here goes. I dumpster dive wednesday nights with my fellow members of Food Not Bombs, which is an anti-militarist organization that is non profit and anarchist in politics. Most of the members attend NCSU, though some simply want to help. We even have a student from Norway who came here solely to study us
We exist to feed homeless people and show how much food is gone to waste by corporate American stores. It does not take food out of peoples mouths because we go to stores far away from where homeless people congregate, and most homeless people do not dumpster dive because 1) security is high with cameras in some places and locks almost evewrywhere, and 2) the police will arrest those caught trespassing.
I always give money to those who ask, and will treat them to lunch or dinner if it is possible. We do all we can, organizing coat drives in the winter and giving away as much food and resources as we can. We do all we can, but it is never enough.
Hope this explained some stuff. Today was a good day, excellent food and fun times. Some schoolwork tonight, alot actually. And then tommorow seeing a long lost friend. Much love kids, smile some. The world needs it.

did you get questions about why you did it?
Ever thought of a "pack drive"?
It's a fucking cool idea. Go to thrift stores, and garage sales on the weekend. Look for old frame pack back packs. You can usually get them for about 1 -10 dollars (I'm not kidding). Do whatever repairs are needed as cheeply as possible, maybe throw a few road items in there (nail clippers, "bactine", you know) and hand them out at FNB to the people that don't have bags.
We do that here. There are so many homeless people that we can actually go around town and look for people without packs and hand them out.
