April Fool's day was always celebrated in our house, because it was my mother's birthday. Now that i am old, in my own right, i realize, the greatest advantage i had, which too many others don't, is simply this: i always knew, my mother loved me. Any strength, stability, or happiness, in my life, stems from that root.
My Mom, was a bright, talented young lady. She gained acceptance at the Ma. Conservatory Of Music, but couldn't go, because her parents were poor farm laborers. Instead, she went to a hospital nursing school, where she honed the competence, and compassion, that were the hallmark of her life.
She would have been 101 years old, today.
