Full time job, archery meets in San Francisco, a good friend of mine coming up from LA in a few weeks, Halo Reach, StarCraft 2, cauliflower and teriyaki chicken, ping pong and BBQs on my patio, exciting news on the PAX front, and a girlfriend I'm crazy about.

Nice.

Thanks for the comment, Jaceface. smile

Texas actually appreciates me just fine. In general, I'm really happy here (minus the fact that I really can't wear pants in my apartment anymore).

I'm glad to hear things have been going well for you. How is Star Craft 2?

Haven't blogged in forever. So busy lately. Highlights:

1) New full time job. I enjoy work and the people I work with are awesome. Two of them come to my Rock Band nights every Friday. They don't pay me enough, but I'm way happier here than I was at the soul crushing retail job that paid a lot.

2) Things with the girl are still...

I've been woefully absent from SG lately. My apologies. My life has hit a sudden upswing and I find myself away from the computer more and more often.

I met someone, and we're dating now. Or seeing each other. Or whatever. We're consciously avoiding labels and categorization in favor of having fun and doing whatever feels right. She's great. She's smart, funny, open, honest, direct,...

Yeah, I'm going to try to get into it a bit more, but I wish I would have done some research before just buying the game with the most epic looking cover.

Not updating my blog very often lately. I suppose I should fix that.

Things are looking up. Check this shit out:

1) I got a job. Well, I got an old job back. It's with a super tiny little ISP here in Reno doing tech support. I worked there a few years ago, and had to leave because I got a higher paying job. I...

I wish I could go to PAX. frown And Virgin America is the besssssssssssssst. I went to SFwith Dr_Stasis on VA, and we had no clue how awesome it was going to be. We discovered the Doom by happenstance, and promptly mourned that our flight was only an hour.

During some random internetting, I happened to come across the name of the band that did "Man of Constant Sorrow" from O Brother Where Art Thou?. They're called Union Station, or more precisely, Allison Krauss and Union Station. Turns out they play some really fantastic, up tempo, crazy good bluegrass. Check it out!

Man of Constant Sorrow, live and in person.

Check out that 80s...

You do know that Alison Krauss and Robert Plant di an amazing album together a year or so ago, right? If not, I recommend it. I was just stopping by to find out where you were on your beer adventure. How goes it?

During a bout with the deadly Motaba virus last week, when I was bedridden for nearly four days, I decided to start watching Doctor Who.

I'm now into Series 3, and I'm starting to get sick of it. It's extremely formulaic. Here's almost every Doctor Who episode up to what I've seen:

1) Doctor and his companion travel to a new place. Doctor may have...

Had an amazing week.

Went down to California to visit my family for New Year's and my grandfather's memorial service. The service was nice. My family is Methodist (I am not) and apparently their services are especially positive. They call them "celebrations of life." They sing songs, share memories, and at the reception we had hundreds of pictures of my grandfather and all the family,...
