Thank you to everyone who offered their condolences or support, re: my grandfather's death. It's been a rough week or so, especially when combined with finals and the flu. If you said a kind word, distracted me with a joke, or in any other way supported me, I really appreciate it.
Heading down to California tomorrow to be with the family for a week. Not entirely sure how this is going to go. The holidays are always stressful, and my family can really get on my nerves sometimes. Add this to the stress, tension, and awkwardness created by my grandfather's recent passing, and it might be disastrous. Still, I love and miss them, so we'll see how it goes. Gotta sync my iPhone and iPod so I have all my new music. Musn't forget that.
There will certainly be fun on Monday night, when I'll divert away from my family for a day and go to a board game/drinking night in San Francisco with some very good friends of mine who I don't see nearly often enough. That will be fantastic. Nerdy board games, alcohol, and friends. What more could I possibly ask for?
Then after that, a good friend of mine comes into Reno and we're going bowling. Hooray for bowling. I always crave bowling in the winter. If I bowled more during the summer my average might stay where I want it, but bowling is a winter sport for me. Well, "sport." Heh.
No idea what I'm doing for New Year's. It would be nice to go to a party or something.
2010 is going to be good. I can feel it.
PS - I'm quite enamored with someone at the moment. It's fun.
PPS - In honor of RATM's awesome victory in the UK and Ireland, one of their best songs:
