Well, I'm not the father but, a cyber-cigar to everyone. I'm now an uncle. My baby brother and his wife had their first child this past Saturday. 8+ lbs. and 22". Healthy, 10 fingers and 10 toes. I am going up this weekend to see little Alexis Marie. Shame on me but it sounds like a pornstar name if ever I heard one. It is a weird feeling seeing my brother, who is 9 years my junior, having a kid. Kind of freaks me out. I mean, it was disconcerting enough being the best man in his wedding (and I HATE weddings) but this is almost surreal. I guess the hardest part is remembering when Ma'n'Pa brought him home from the hospital, now he's got one of his own. Wow. Just what do uncles do anyway? It's not like there is a handbook. Of course, who am I to bemoan this, I'm not the parents. I just hope they don't ask me to be a godparent, hell, I can barely take care of myself. I just hope I don't scare the we'un. No punk rock outfits for me till she's at least ten. Hopefully I can indoctrinate her into the cool things in life. Yes, that will be my job. I will make sure that she knows life is big and there are alternatives, or something like that.

Thanks for the post in my journal. Have seen Two Man Advantage a few times, and from what I understand they are Islander fans as well. Never really got into them. I think I may even have a 7 inch of theirs. Your right though, they do love hockey and beer. Maybe they are worth a second listen. On to more important things, four points behind us doesn't seem like a lot, but remember the Isles have won the season series with the Sabres and after total wins that is the second tie breaker.
