Well, I went to NYC this past weekend for their Tartan Day parade (Scots wha' hae!!!) and I actually had a good time. I really dislike NYC, but this was a good day. After the parade, I hung out at the St.Andrew's Pub w/a group of Scots over for holiday. We shot the shit for three hours, it was great. Then I saw a friend...

Hate ESPN too. Feel free to vent as much as you like. Did they take NHL 2Night off the air? Haven't seen it in months. Not sure if it's my hatred of ESPN or just the scant attention that hockey receives from any sports network. I already feel like where in the middle of basball season with the amount of coverage it gets. Don't know how you feel, but I'm a one sport guy. Hockey and nothing else. Anyway, here are the matchups in the East: Isles/Lightning, Devils/Flyers, Bruins/Canadiens, Leafs/Senators.

I agree about not caring about the Western conference. Seems as though(at least in this part of the country) ESPN only shows Western conference games. Could do without seeing another Avalanche/Detroit game. When the Isles get to the Finals I'll care about the West. Since we are talking about it however, I'm picking the Wings over the Predators in 4. The Avalanche over the Stars in 5. Calgary over Vancouver in 7. Blues over the Sharks in 6.

Thesis on the ontological aspects of celebrity and its reflections in society. (Or how are stars different from us unwashed masses) by Jeremy (My real name) I am writing this as I happened upon a thread in the board section and it was discussing certain well-known people and the possibility that they were members of this site. Some people showed a genuine interest in the...

oh, and yes. Jane Jensen is the girl from Tromeo and Julliet. I had thought her attractive in the movie, so I did some research. Turnes out she's a rocker, and a damned good one too. If I had to compare her with anyone, it'd be Garbage. Check her out if you like.

Could care less about whether or not Messier retires In my opinion, he basically joined the Rangers for a cup of coffee and all the talk here in NYC is how he is New York Sports royalty. On a much more important note for both of us, I think tonight is the night we find out.

I notice that many of the members have favorite girls. I must be too wishy-washy as I haven't been able to pick any. They are all quite splendid. What should be a category is most interesting name. Whoo-wee, they do use some peculiar nom-de-photo. Well, I suppose that is what differentiates this from everything else. It fits the profile. Then again, this comes from a...

How did the Sabres make out this weekend? We won Friday and Sunday and I believe were 6 points up after the win yesterday. Heard you beat Florida. Anything else to report?
solimond:
Yeah, just cycle through them. I often update the "Current crush" part of my journal to reflect my interests. Though it always comes back to the same place.

There's nothing wrong with opium-induced psychoses.

Well, I'm not the father but, a cyber-cigar to everyone. I'm now an uncle. My baby brother and his wife had their first child this past Saturday. 8+ lbs. and 22". Healthy, 10 fingers and 10 toes. I am going up this weekend to see little Alexis Marie. Shame on me but it sounds like a pornstar name if ever I heard one. It is...

Thanks for the post in my journal. Have seen Two Man Advantage a few times, and from what I understand they are Islander fans as well. Never really got into them. I think I may even have a 7 inch of theirs. Your right though, they do love hockey and beer. Maybe they are worth a second listen. On to more important things, four points behind us doesn't seem like a lot, but remember the Isles have won the season series with the Sabres and after total wins that is the second tie breaker. We shall see...Best of Luck...Keep in touch as the playoffs approach.

So St.Patricks Day is coming up. Great, Wonderful. I am glad I'm not Irish. Actually, it's a fine holiday. But the Irish are not Scots!!! I can't go to a parade or watch one on TV during this time without wanting to do harm to something. Why? you ask, bracing for a rant. Because the have highland pipes and guys in kilts!!! Those aren't Irish,...

Ah, I think you may be right- that scene may well have been deleted from the DVD as you'd summised. Perhaps on reflection fincher had felt it to be rather too obvious a clue, and hence applied the retrospective editing!

Good to see you making the clear distinction 'twixt irish & scots - what a wonderful thing celtic tribalism is! Btw, one of m'weegie pals insists that the 'pipes originated in Pakistan...

time for a wee dram indeed... smile

I watched "Seven" last night on t.v. again. I have always been fascinated by that movie. I know that Gwyneth's character is integral to the plot, but she grates on me. As for the ending, I don't know if I could utilize the "suspension of disbelief" enough to say that Pitt's Det. Mills would have shot him. To pat, in my opinion. But why am...

Did you note that when Gwynneth opens her appartment door to Kevin Spacey, the door's number is '5a', postitioning her as the additional victim between the five we've met previously, and Spacey and Pitt who are the 6th and 7th to come...Hmm, guess that's probably dead obvious to you film buff guys!

Well, the job hunt continues. I couldn't stand my last one. I was a 911 guy, it sucked. You have to have compassion to really help people, I didn't have enough. There were to many idiots calling the emergency line for the most trivial and mundane things. I am also in school so that is a little more important. I still need to find a...

This is the coolest site. Man, where were you when I was I in my early twenties? The girls defy description. I don't know why I signed up for this, I guess it is just cool and I wanted to see for myself. I think part of the reason is that since I got out of the Navy and left university the third time (I'll...
