So I work my regular 6am-5pm and recently a friend asked me to help him out at his stereo shop. He had 2 guys quit and is suddenly hard up for help I guess haha. So I obliged... After work Monday thru Friday and on saturdays I go there and fabricate speaker pods and whatnot from fiberglass.
That is the rear door from a 2001 (I believe) Tahoe and I removed the factory grill cover and made a fiberglass mold of it for the base.
Then a speaker ring was attached and some grill cloth for shape. The cloth will get a coat of polyester resin on the left area of the ring and the rest will get smoothed out and a tweeter placed to the top right after wrapping in factory match vinyl. Doesn't look like much but fabrication tales some time. Between taping off for molding to curing of 6 layers of mat on both doors to the making of the rings and stretching of the cloth on this one I have 6 hours in...
And that is the only plans I have for the rest of the weekend :-D
