Day 1 one of my seminar in San Diego...
Staying at a hotel right on the beach. Ok before you get too jealous of me... I was awaken at about 2AM with the sound of water. couldnt' figure out what it was thought maybe the people upstairs were taking a really long shower or something and fell back to sleep until about 2:15AM when I was awaken to the sound of rain. That's right I said rain. I looked outside and did I see rain anywhere? NOPE! so I laid there for a little bit longer and tried to go back to sleep couldn't figure out what that damn noise was. Finally got up because with all this water noise I had to pee
Open the door to my bathroom and what do I find? 1 foot of water and more dropping from the vent. That's right it was raining in my bathroom. Hmmmm well this is new I think to myself. So I call down to the front desk... no answer. I call again... no answer... I call again and leave a message... no call back then I call again finally get the little chickadee that is working the night shift and tell her that it is raining in my room and wondering if there is anything they can do to help me out and I get "I KNOW! I AM THE ONLY ONE HERE AND TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING SO JUST BEAR WITH ME!!" AND CLICK. thinking that ok she is just stressed out a little bit from the mess that must be upstairs if there is one the size it was in my room. THinking that she will bring me some extra towels, offer me a new room, SOMETHING. but did I hear back from her? NOPE. She finally finishes making a ton of noise upstairs at about 4:3)AM and I am finally able to go back to sleep to wake up 2 1/2 hours later for day 1 of my management skills for administratives AMA seminar I am in Sandiago for.
I must admit that I thought i was going to be bored out of my mind today and probably falling asleep after my little over 2 hours of sleep but she did infact keep me awake and interested. She started with magic tricks. well that and I couldn't stop looking at the scars from her last face lift
The shit us women do to ourselves. I am sure she will look great once they heal but it currently looks like she had her ear removed and placed further back on her head. It is purely beautiful! She tried to hide it with her hair but she was right next to me and by the end of the day the hair was not doing it's job. I am learning a lot of great brain storming skills and hopfully some orginizational skills and what not. If anything I feel motivated because she is infact a motivational speaker for her career so she is really good and making you feel DAMN good about yourself. It's RAD!
So now I am back in my fancy hotel. I switched rooms so my floors are atleast dry. and I have to complain to the man in the morning about getting money back for a lack of sleep and the rude night girl. Oh what fun!
I hope all of your weeks have started off well... it is time for me to go find something to eat.

Glad to hear the seminar has been good. I know when we have our annual sales kick-off we all tend to fall asleep until they bring out the motivational speaker. Some are definitely better than others. I still can't get over the fact that it was raining in your room. I've spent a lot of time traveling and staying in hotels, but never had it rain in my room!
