CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE
SATURDAY - JUNE 26 - APPROX 2:00 PM - on the Coney Island Boardwalk

I am hoping that my local SG friends will come out to the Coney Island Mermaid Parade and party with The Ixion Burlesque troupe. MOLLY will be marching with the troupe and I've also invited Jordan, Barclay, Rath, Irina, Aspen and Hellynn. It will be so rad to meet you'all!! (or even a few of ya's

My planned Ixion/SG joint burlesque is starting to take form... Its gonna be the sexiest show about the Greek Muses ever!! here's what we're looking at so far:
>MOLLY SUICIDE as URANIA
>JORDAN SUICIDE as MELPOMENE
>BARCLAY SUICIDE as TERPSICHORE
>MARTHIA (from the Off-Broadway porn-ical 'Alice In Wunderland') as CALLIOPE
>RUBY VALENTINE (Ixion Burlesque superstar) as ERATO
>IXION will play APOLLO (of course!)
>>>If OCTOBER were in NYC I'd ask her to play SAPPHO.
speaking of playing...
Tonight I was playing the piano in the West Village and my friend Strummer (yes she was named after Joe Strummer and attended her first Clash concert at the age of 2 months) came to hang out and see me play... When Strummer arrived she pulled up a chair next to the piano - and I went right into the Beatle's song "Something" - so we were singing that song - and acting pretty silly... meanwhile, its a restaurant in the Village with tourists stuffing their faces "have you seen the little piggies with their starch white shirts"... etc. Suddenly, we hear this sound and Strummer was like OMG - that girl just puked... but not only did the girl puke - she fell over and was lying on the ground as if she was dead... I stopped playing because it seemed like an emergency, but the restaurant owner ran over and told me to keep on playing... so Strummer and I just went into renditions of Beatle songs like "Let It Be", "I Am The Walrus", "We All Live In A Yellow Submarine", "Day Tripper" etc. Now as we're singing and playing and corn-balling around... 6 police officers enter the restaurant with full EMT support, stretcher, oxygen mask, device to measure pulse, etc... they are working on this girl - trying to save her while Strummer and I are duetting literally 8 feet away!!! Then just as suddently as everyone showed up... there they go.... off to get her stomach pumped... and the entire time my friend and I were singing like nothing had happened at all.. it was very much like a demented David Lynch movie... "one way ticket yeah... it took me sooooo long... to find out... I found out...."
I promise that next week's featured Limbo Girl will blow everyone's socks off!!
