Big TV by White Lies
This is my favorite album ever for many reasons:
1. The sound. It's deep, it's retro, it's modern, it's cosmic, it's everything you would ever want from an indie band and more. The vocals make my heart skip a beat and it will definitely have the same effect on you.
2. The story. The whole album is one story about a small town girl who in pursue of a better living escaped her family and left her love behind and moved to a big city. Sounds rather cliche, but trust me, Big TV has more to this story and song lyrics are touching and the song Change always makes me cry.
3. Cover. I'm usually not into a cover art, but this one stole my heart right away. Created by a fantastic artist Michael Kagan it reflects the album so so well! Me and my boyfriend got matching shirts with this art and I really want to get it tattooed on my back some time soon!
This album has turned 4 years old very recently, but it's good as new. It's always like the first time when you listen to it. And I say go, do it, feel it, experience it!
