This topic is actually super funny and brings back so many embarrassing memories, I can't even... Anyways, when I was little, I used to have MANY celebrity crushes, all of them men of different origins, occupations and styles. Most of them were Russian since back then the Internet was a luxury and globalization didn't have that much power over all of us, but I'm not going to talk about them as it will make no sense to most of you. Who I'm gonna mention is a few "foreign" guys, you might somehow know :)
When I was about 9 or 10 years old I discovered a casette (yeah, no CD's back then either) with some Turkish songs. There was a bearded man on the cover and it said "Tarkan". I listened to them all, didn't understand a SINGLE word, but I loved the voice of the man and I grew to like the image on the cover, too. Sooo, I spent about three months listening to this very cassette and imagining this man coming and taking me to Turkey to live with him, where he would sing all the love songs just for me (see what I mean by embarrassing?) I'm attaching a video, which will demonstrate both the man and the songs.
At 13-14 I was having an EMO period in my life and was crushing over Bill Kaulitz - a lead singer of the then madly popular among little girls German band Tokio Hotel. My whole room was covered in posters and I even attempted to learn German to be able to come to Germany and talk to Bill and win his heart over (embarrassing) But hell, he was cute!
Then began and indie period in my life, I discovered The Kooks band and immediately fell in love with Luke, first with his voice and then with his looks. And this was a crush similar to those I experience today - when you just like the celebrity suuuper much, without having any naive dreams and hopes :)
Surprisingly, all of my celebrity crushes are musicians, cause for me it has always been first the voice and then the looks to fall in love with :)
