Hey there, loves! This week bloghomework is about fun fact about the city we live in, but I've been moving from town to town for the past 5 years, and I honestly know very little about the city I live in now, so, I'm going to share some fun facts about my home town.
1. My hometown is called Zarechny, which means "Behind the river" in Russian. It's situated in the deep forrest and is surrounded by it, too.
2. It's only 58 years old, so third of it's population is older than the city itself.
3. It's a town with a limited access (only people who live there can enter and leave it) and is surrounded by the huge concrete wall with barbwire on top of it.
4. The town used to have a different "code" name until recently and used to not be on any maps, cause it was considered secret. Some people living there were not allowed to leave not only Russia, but also the town itself.
5. The main attraction of the city is a family of wild mooses, which walk around the city (among buildings, parks, blocks of apartments) as if there are no people around them. They can still hurt if you try to touch them, but will do no harm if you just stay and watch. We love those mooses and have seen at least three generations of them grow :)
p.s. three years ago people of our town decided to put up a monument for the soldiers who patrol the town's borders and protect them and here's what some creative minds added to make it look perrrfect :D This is Russia, man!
