This homework makes me remeber my American Christmas, probably, the best Christmas of my life. This was the time of utter inspiration and compassion about everything and first of all about the family I lived with. I remember when I was walking around Wallmart and found a clock which had little round photo frames instead of numbers and immediately knew what I'm going to get my host family as a NY year project. I selected all the pictures from my US journey starting August and made an awesome compilation.
I put a photo from the airport for number one and a picture of me mowing the lawn (my host parents made me do so during the very first day and had so much fun as I've never done this before). Number three and four are pictured from the Ren fair where my host parents took me! This was an awesome time (again, I've never been to one before). Number 5 is me after "Lucky buckets" where my host dad paid extra for them to pour and extra bucket of water on us. Number 7 is me dressing up as Michael Jackson for halloween celebrity day at school (the whole concept of being allowed to dress up and get extra points for it was soo surreal and so cool to me!). Number 8 is me and my host brother and sister after "Scream Town". All of the mazes were so scary that by the time we took that picture all of us had no voice at all. Number 10 and 11 is me stuffing my first ever Turkey (there's no Thanksgiving in Russia). I called him Fred The Turkey and my host dad was making jokes about how intimate we were after me gently washing him and then stuffing my whole arm down his ass! What an amazing times those were!
So here we go. I can't say that this is 100% DIY, but being 16 I devoted a lot of time and love to make this clock and my host parents still have it on their wall, which is the most precious thing to me.
Thank you for reading this, I hope you all have the most amazing Christmas! <3
@missy , @rambo and @lyxzen I wish you the best holiday season, too! I'm very happy I'm able to celebrate it with the whole SG community this year :)
Love,
