This @bloghomework assingment made me go trough so many movies I love, I actually spent several hours browsing though them, trying to sort out the best lines among my favorite ones. I'm quite a sentimental girl, so all of them can be summurised by these five:
1. "How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray's accepted, and each wish resign'd" - by Alexander Pope
2. "Blessed are the forgetful: for they get the better even of their blunders." - by Friedrich Nietzsche
These two quotes as you probably has already guessed were used in a great movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The movie was filmed 11 years ago, but truths expressed in it have no bondaries of space and time, they're eternal and international. I always found it hard to forget things, good and bad. Almost every life event leaves a mark on my heart, making me wonder how hard it would be to carry it around when I'm old :) Blessed are those who can forget easily, but I still consider myself lucky for being able to learn from bad and appreciate the good, for remebering people I loved as well as people who loved me.
3. "You jump, I jump, remember?"
Titanic makes me cry every single time! I watched it for the first time when I was only 5, have watched it million times since. Kate and Jack's love story together with the quote is the embodiment of true love. This is how I feel about people I love. They jump, I jump.
4. "Love is the one thing that transcends time and space." - Brand, Interstellar
I, honestly, have nothing to add, the quote speaks for itself.
Since I've mentioned time and space, the last but definetely not the least quote I use as my everyday mantra.
5. "There should be no boundaries to human endeavour. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there's always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there's hope." - by Stephen Hawking in Theory of Everything
I admire this great scientist, I love this man and his unique personaly even though I have never met him. But I've read many of his books and was overwhelmed by the movie. I cried all the way through, not because I pity Stephen Hawking! It just breaks my heart to see such unbelievable mind trapped in a diseased body. His example is one of the greatest things which inspire me to go further and reach higher.
I didn't mean this blog post to be so long, but when you start sharing part of your soul it is hard to stop :) Thank you for reading, I hope you like it! Feel free to share your favorite lines from these movies or from ones related or any lines you love.
