It has come to my attention whilst trying to develop an M.O. for my uni work, what exactly my passions are. One of them is underwear, which I'm not sure is a product of working in the lingerie industry, my fancy dress obsession, or just the enjoyment of a semi-naked lady. Anyway, I have a vast collection of knickers. Too many to fit in my chest of draws, some that I have never even tried on let alone worn, and most bought just because of the lace, and how delicate and beautiful they are as objects. In fact I have used them in my photographic work because of the textures and patterns... Oh! How I love to look at things! I'm getting a bit excited reflecting upon some of them infact. Prehaps this is a fetish.
With this in mind, I have decided to include a picture of a pair from my treasure trove in each entry of this blog from here on out. Not so I can be a kinky minx or a attention seeking whore, but because noone ever sees my pants. My arse is not suitable for parading about the flat in just briefs and a t-shirt, my boyfriend is too anxious to remove them to appeciate them, and even when he does it's just to humour me. People must see them they are beautiful! Also it may help me develop a working method. I like to follow patterns, be repetitive and obsessive. I went to see Sophie Calle's many exhibitions at the Whitechapel gallery recently, and her working method is deffinately something I'd like to emulate. So for today, I present to you...
On the subject, what with Valentine's coming up, I've been searching anywhere and everywhere for new and exciting underwear. The high street really has nothing new to offer, and Ann Summers is just bringing out the same things we already have in different colours, or even worse re-designing lines from 3 years previous. It's a little sad that I can name the previous lines even though I only started working there just over a year ago. Sad sad. I did however find some that I've fallen in love with whilst peeking into Agent Provocateur with the hopes of their sale items being amazingly reduced. Kelly Rama, covered in crystals, and oh my they look so much better in real life. So lovely.....
Brief pause, while I have a sniffle over this episode of House I'm watching.
Anyway, heres a picture.

Finally, here is an outtake from one of my recent projects which was titled Apologue. It was a work exploring how you come to define your own Identity over the course of your life, psychologically and physically. Plus I got to dress up the model Carina in fun clothes.
(Not colour-corrected or anything as the Laptop I'm using is not configured)
