Had another crazy busy weekend, I saw Kick-Ass on Thursday night -so good- I can't wait to read the comic now! Friday night after work I went down to check out my friends amazingly beautiful clothing designs in a runway show for Fashion Art Toronto. I was up again early to set up my booth at the Elle Mag. fashion event at the Carlu, which...

I enjoyed Kick Ass all the way up to the ending. The jetpack was over the top. They could have stuck to the ending from the comic-book without modification and the movie would have ended better. I felt that as soon as he started flying around and shooting gatling guns, the movie turned into the very thing it had been parodying.

Otherwise, a good movie though. The book is worth picking up.

ivyarcana:
Definitely my biggest complaint too, and that of everyone else that I've talked to. The jetpack was ridiculous.

Nursing a horrible hangover with a cup of tea and the cats on the couch. I have the most wicked craving for nachos too, but there is no way I'm going anywhere for at least another hour or so.
I'm so disappointed, I have to put off my tattoo appointment until after Tuesday, the shop is setting up in a new location. The next few...

Happy Saturday everyone!
Actually had a pretty sweet week, mostly busy with work and show prep. Went to a fabulous freak, magic and burlesque show in celebration of Obscura day, lots of fun and some great performances.. Unfortunately there was a group of obnoxious drunks sitting next to us making comments- they looked like an Ontario version of the Trailer Park Boys. The main guy...

Watched Coraline last night, which I have really been looking forward to. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the book, and I was so pleased that the movie lived up to my hopes- which is rather...

Ugh, still a little messed up from the time change. My hours have been a bit screwy though, which doesn't help.
I do love having the daylight later, so I'm not really complaining. My freshly purpled hair is absolutely electric in the sunshine too, and it still smells a bit like grape felt pen.

Oh man! Just watched the trailer for the new Deus Ex...

Spending the day in after a night out. Re-purpling my hair and listening to some tunes.
I'm a little crushed, The Specials show is sold out, grrrr, I really want to go. Maybe I can still find some tickets somewhere....

I'm so excited, I'm going in on the 3rd to do the outline for my tattoo. Any advice? This is my first big one!

Hiya Bardot! We were talking about roller derby... I'm a big fan!

As to the tattoo, it is a full sleeve of waves on my left arm, inspired by the cover of Comic Book Tattoo (a book of gorgeous comics inspired by Tori Amos songs) by Jason Levesque, his artwork is amazing!
