Let me first welcome myself back. Welcome back! Thanks. Its been a few months or so since I've been here and it doesn't seem like a whole lot has changed. However, things have changed with me for the better. Within the past two weeks I was in London, Amsterdam, and Las Vegas. That was quite a two weeks. I was only in Las Vegas for about a total of 36hrs but, that place is unreal. Some things about my trip...
London is insanely expensive, especially with a really awful exchange rate. American money is worthless in Europe. I was in London for four days and concluded that although it is a lot of fun to visit, I probably wouldn't really want to live there. I did the usual touristy things but also attended the West Ham- Fulham match at Upton Park. It was like visiting Mecca for me. To finally attend a match was unreal. EPL matches are nothing like any sporting events in the US. There's so much passion and attention to what's happening on the pitch. Fulham scored early but, later in the first half Deano equalized for the Irons. The score was tied 1-1 up until the 79th minute when Anton Ferdinand pulled Hammers ahead 2-1. That was the final score. Hard to really put into words how great it was for me to be at Upton Park that day.
The day after the match, sunday, I flew to Amsterdam. I always thought that people exaggerated when talking about Amsterdam. They don't. It's exactly like everyone had ever said. The prostitutes are gorgeous, most of them anyway. Although I was there alone, I never felt unsafe walking around the Red Light District really late at night. There are a lot of drug dealers there though, especially late at night, and they can be quite irritating. I did have a rather extraordinary experience in Amsterdam that I will never forget. I will say this though, anyone thinking of partaking in the services of the prostitutes, remember this: they're people. That sounds dumb but, what I mean is treat them like people be nice and don't be an ass. Also understand that no little girl dreams of becoming a prostitute. There's a long and rather heartbreaking back story to this advice. Maybe I'll write about it someday.
I was only home from Amsterdam for about a day before it was time to book a trip to Las Vegas. It was basically a business trip for me and to decide if I want to move out there. I do and hope to head out within the month of february. Just depends on how long it takes for the TSA to complete my background and credit check.
