Happy Halloween!
But Halloween is not on my mind. Instead I have been perplexed by something all day. Everytime something goes wrong in the Middle East there is a protest, typically against the US or Israel, flag burning ensues. What I need answered is where are they getting these US flags? Clearly some of them are homemade but, a good majority seem like the ones that would be found flying here at a school, fire station, etc. Is there a store over there that sells them? Are they stealing them? If so, from where or who? Clearly the only reason you would ever be in possession of Old Glory would be to burn it, at some point. Which leads to more questions...
Do you buy a flag the day of the protest? Perhaps get one before hand and keep a few stashed away so you'll be ready. Are the flags more expensive on the days of protests? It would stand to reason they would be since the demand would be higher. Can you buy the flags in bulk? Do they sell lighter fluid and matches at the same store? That would be convenient.
Are some flags more expensive than others? If the US flag is most expensive, which country's is the least?
Somebody needs to get on this, now.
