Well... Saveme and I went to the Rancid show on Saturday in NYC, which I must say was completely unreal. It was an amazing show and I had such a great time just hanging out in NYC for the weekend.
Rancid played for about 2hrs, that includes a long opening set, then a couple acoustic songs, and back to a closing set that they finished off with Nihilism. They're really aren't any words to really describe what it was like to be in the front row watching such an amazing show. Until that point those guys had only existed on TV and on records but, saturday they were less than 10ft away. Amazing. Big D and the Kids Table and The Lordz opened for them. Big D was awesome and sadly only played about 5 songs, I think. I was luke warm on The Lordz, I don't really know what it was I guess I just wasn't that into they're, what seemed like, punk-rap hybrid kind of thing. Like the Transplants but not as good. But they did put on a pretty good show.
Now I can officially check "See Rancid live" off my list of things to do before I die. But of course now that I've seen them once, I definitely need to go see them again.
