So, I didn't leave for S.F until after 2pm. I drove about half way and figured everything would be closed and boring by the time I got there. Instead I just took an exit with pretty sceanary and played a fun game called "Where's that road go" It's a fun game that has lead to the occasional replacement of an oil pan from hitting rocks. This time the road was mostly paved but it went up a mountain. I got an amazing view of mountains, valleys, and fog. California can be such a fantasticly gorgous place. It's a shame so many people live here. I'd like to walk all over it, but that would involve a good amount of trespassing. If someone has that much money to buy such I pretty piece of land I don't reckon they'd take kindly to me ignoring their "No Trespassing" sign. You never know though. Where I grew up in Colorado "No Trespassing" was just a formallity to say 'just remember it's mine, so don't fuck it up'. The worst you'll get from trespassing there is an ass full of salt shot.
Anyway, I had driven through California some 5 and 7 years ago. I was impressed by how fast and efficient California drivers were. You stay in the right lane until your about to pass you pass and get in the right lane. Most people were doing around 90Mph. That was taking the 5 to the 101 all the way north. What happened!? Now people think the left lane is just the cool place to be. They'll just stay there for 100 miles. It causes problems for the people that want to go faster. It's dangerous, and frustraights me to no end.
