So, another good night in LA. Went to the SGLBC karaoke thing. It was pretty good. I popped my karaoke cherry. It's kind of interesting to me. When I went up there it turned out that I was doing the wrong song, the song I didn't know as well. In my mind I wasn't nervous. Logically there is no reason to be nervous. I didn't feel nervous. But, about half-way through the song my hand was shaking uncontrollably. Like a spasm that I'm oberving. What an interesting and horribly inuseful human characteristic. Many human reactions and instinct are useful in propagation and survival of the species but, how is shaking when nervous useful at all? Especially when I don't feel nervous mentally. What crap! Anyway...everyone from SG was expectedly awesome. The music was a bit loud to hold any decent conversation though. I think next time I'm going to have to insist on bowling be done. I suck immensely at bowling. I've only bowled a handfull of times in my life, but , I suck at karaoke too. So, if I'm going to suck at something silly like that I might as well be able to listen to people converse and laugh at the suckage while its going on. Also, you don't get that little thing that blows air to dry your hands when your doing karaoke. BTW, I figured the trick to keeping a moderate buzz when I'm at this altitude. - Keep drinking! Normally I would stop when I get buzzed but here it wears off so quick that if I keep drinking I just stay moderate. Trying to get drunk would just be a waste of time. It's usually a waste of time to get drunk anyway. It's all about that happy medium buzz.

Thanks! It was great to meet you last night. How long have you been "at this altitude?"
ivarr:
about 2 weeks now. I'll be leaving for colorado on the 2nd, I'll probably be there for 2-3 weeks and then i'll probably be back in LA. So just when my body gets used to my new altitude I leave for the other. It makes drinking in Colorado cheap (until my body gets used to it again) and expensive in California.
