I haven't posted in a while. I work a lot. I was dating for a while on the weekends. She didn't last.

After watching the video below made me start thinking that we're living in a forgotten era. You know all those societies that we can find evidence that they existed, but not much else? That's us. All our pictures and words are on computers...

This week I've been in Victor, Colorado. Tomorrow Is my last full day here. I've missed it so much. It's the land of the plaid shirt bearded men. The only men not sporting a full beard or mustache are military. There are no goatees or thin, carefully groomed beards. I'm home. Where my double-knee carrhart overalls is a pimp suit. The temperature is 7 degrees...

My Thanksgiving was fun. I went to eat Pho with a girl I met off Craigslist (the interweb seems to be the only place I've been successful in meeting people I can deal with, at least in OC). She was pretty, funny and fun. So dinner was good.

Then we went across the street to an asian market. I found fruit I didn't recognize. I...

Anyone that has been with me to Disneyland will know the "gatherer" protion of my hunter-gatherer instincts. I'll eat almost any plant I see (the waxy ones never taste good). I've also been curious about the many variations of fruit that The Man keeps inaccessible.

Just in bananas there are hundreds of varieties. Bananas also have the distinction in being the only fruit that can...

I'll be going to Colorado for a week. I'm leaving Saturday. I'm also about to go 'grey'; or is it 'gray'? I forget which is American. I don't want to be unpatriotic in my spelling. America! Fuck Yeah.
urblueygrl:

I've had the flu since Sunday. I called in sick. It's been total sweating while shivering awesomeness. Today I feel fine. Mucus is still kickin it with me. So, back to work I go. Also, today's my birthday. Yay!?

My mom and sister have been visiting for the past 3 weeks, so I've been in hiding. They should be landing in Colorado in short time. It was nice having them out here. I love them very much. Three weeks is a long time and they were driving me nuts. Back to being able to watch tv from the shitter; and other wacky shinannigans.

sounds like family

This place sucks. I've been here for over a year, I've tried it. It sucks. It's one huge city here, so there's theoretically always something to do. The problem is that everything is so fucking far away and there's shit for public transport.

Los Angeles has character and style. The OC does not. It's so very bland. I think part of it is that there...

Have you been to the Orange Circle, yet? I think I'm going to make a bar called The District an SGOC booze meet-up place...thing....
octegon:
You are correct sir. It's certainly no down town LA, but it's got it's nooks and crannys just the same.

Ants. I've got them.

For the first month or so at my new place I saw an occasional bug. Bugs happen, whatever.

Four days ago, on the way to work, I saw a few ants. A few made it inside. Whatever.

That night I came home to a trail of ants from my bathroom to my pantry. Why!? I mixed up some soapy water in...

I'm moved into my new place in Costa Mesa. It kicks a lot of ass. A Lot. I'm getting things situated. The next step is to get more social. I was sort of confining myself at my old place. It sucked.

Now I've got a bottle of very good scotch. Hurray for scotch! love

And a good evening to you, sir. It brings great joy to my facial extremities that you appreciated my skills in copying and pasting hypertext links onto softcore pornography websites. I too, found the video quite enjoyable and have watched it many times over with friends and family. In parting, I would like to wish you and yours the very best on this illustrious evening.

Cheers.

Moving sucks. Being moved will rock.

I really love abandon places. I grew up in nearly abandon towns. Abandon places feel so comfortable. I don't think there's any psychological crap with that. It's just a fascination. So I saw this link:

20 Abandon Cities

It talks about how The Kowloon Walled City was a city abandoned by the government and flourished. How cool! Sure, crime was rampant, but imagine all the...

That would indeed be awesome to walk around that town like that. That's one of the most amusing things in the world is to go walking around foreign cities. biggrin
