Yesterday my 14-year-old brtoher was arrested for stealing a purse from an open car. Luckily he will be in a lot less trouble because he gave the purse back and apologized. He was living with me for a while in my rundown apartment but he was acting out so much I couldn't deal with him. So....he moved in with his girlfriend...bad idea. He had noooo supervision. It's really sad that his parents simply don't give a shit. This is his future that they are screwing around with. When he went to juvenile hall his father declared him a runaway...he wasn't...(CPS told him he couldn't go home because it was a child abuse situation). Also, his father screwed him over by signing a form that let him be interrogated without a parent's presence. He is to young to know his rights!
Anyways, I'm going off on a tangent. It's just sad. I really care for my brother. He has issues right now and needs support. He knows better than to steal a purse but harsh punishment is not going to make the problem better.
In other news... um...I have so much homework I think I'm going to drown in books and papers. I just have to consider the fact that eventually it will be a degree.
