My new camera should get here tomorrow, I'm so excited. 7.1 Megapixels, 4x zoom, and image stabilization and it was only 133!
For comparison my old camera was 4 megapixels and 3x zoom. I cant wait.
Also I went skating with my roommate and his girlfriend. The best part was this drainage ditch. The bottom and sides were concrete, shaped sort of like a shallow luge track, but only a little wider than the board. It was pretty long and had some nice curves in it. I got all the way down it on my second try. It was amazing how fast you could get going with a little lip to help guide you down the hill. One of the times I hit this seam at a bad spot, not quite going fast enough and I was super man for about half a second, then I landed. I had just enough time to pull my head back and slide safely on my chest for a short distance. It was actually pretty fun, and I only scraped my left palm a little bit.
