It was my day off today, so i decided to spend like everyone else does, spending money i dont have on things i dont need. well that was the plan. I went to the trafford centre (which for those who dont know is a big bastard of a shopping centre) which took me ages to get to as i thought the bus to there was at the end of my street.... 35 minutes later i arrive at the bus stop and get on the bus which is filled with the rank and file of the grey army (old people) an old woman proceeded to sit in front of me and constantly looked back at me i looked up from my book i was reading (raise high the roof beam, carpenters by jd salinger) and she opened her mouth as if to strike up conversation, not wanting to be informed of how cold the weather was or that the bus was 'shakey' i looked down again, and carried on reading aware that the woman was looking at me, luckily one of a two middle-aged women got off the bus so the woman practically ran to replace her, and strike up a conversation with a woman i assume she had never met, sure enough she mentioned the weather and started to chat, while her 'victim' looked away awkwardly. and got off at the next stop probably miles from her home.
the story doesnt really have a point, but it made me wonder why old people feel the need to impart their useless nuggets of knowledge upon anyone whether they wish to listen or not, they also manage to time any journey they make so its exactly the same as mine, making me late on a regular basis. I dont hate old people....its just....ah....i cant think of another way to finish that sentence
anyway in other news, i bought the watchmen graphic novel and its rather awesome, and i found out the hot girl who stared at me for an entire bus journey lives about 5 mins from my house, not that it means anything, me being the fucking calamity i am.
oh yeah and 'deja entendu' by brand new is the best album ever. FACT!
