I was told to update, so I'm updating.
I went to Detroit for the 4th of July weekend. The entire Itburns family gathered there. Lovely. Parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 4 in laws, 4 nieces and a nephew. But it wasn't as awful as it sounds.
Highlights: We all went to the Tigers v Yankees game on Sunday (very Norman Rockwell); I golfed twice (yuppie that I secretly am); I bought some paintings at an art auction (because I can't control myself); and I took my nieces clothes shopping.
Lowlights: "I know you probably don't want to talk about it, but what happend to your friend Cait's husband"; "when are you getting married? you should have kids of your own"; and apparently my friend of 25+ years and former guitarist needs a new liver and kidneys because of drug abuse.
So now I'm back in Chicago and ready to get on with the rest of summer. I have a trial starting Monday in Philly and one in Atlanta starting in mid-August. Wish I had something more exciting to report, but as I said I'm updating at someone else's request.

RONIN: GROUP EXHIBITION & NEW WORKS by AARON WATKINS. August 4, 2005- September 29, 2005. Lux Gallery, Chicago, IL. Opening night silent auction to benifit the Watkins Cancer Treatment Fund, August ?, 2005
Hey guys- Aaron's Art Show and Slient Art Auction is still happening.
I am collecting artist contact info and work samples/pics to see about hanging a cohesive exhibition.
Anyone who is still intrested in donating work for this show is PLEASE welcome to contact me either in my journal or e-mail me directly at catsuicide@hotmail.com
The show will likely generate a good deal of PR and in the very least artists will be garaunteed exposure in return for their donations.
