This was a MELLOW weekend, and it was just what I needed. I worked late on Friday and then sat at home with a pizza watching "Wild at Heart." There's always something comforting about watching that movie, cathartic.
Yesterday I ran errands down in what my bestest friend calls "The Matrix" (Michigan Avenue) and then cleaned the house. Dinner and drinks with some friends from the 90s, which was surprisingly good. It was just the boys so there was no "why aren't you married?" or the even more insane "I still can't believe you and Laura aren't married." A bunch of Chicago White Sox came into the bar and were causing trouble. It was pretty cool to tell 5 guys who make a total of 30 million/year to get the fuck out.
Today I will call my Dad, go to the office and watch the Pistons kick all manner of San Antonio ass.
