I have CNN.com set as my internet homepage that way I can peruse the day's news before checking my e-mail, bank account, or looking through my bookmarks of webcomics, geek sites, friends' weblogs (I refuse to use the assortment of letters pronounced 'blog'), and dirty, dirty pornography.
And maybe I'm crazy, but has anyone else noticed that in perhaps the last five to six weeks the number of major transportation accidents happening world wide?
Every couple of days, if not every day some weeks, there is a boat sinking or capsizing, a plane going down, a bus barreling over the edge of a cliff, and the death tolls are small, always double digits, but never more than around 200.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist (but I subscribe to a few newsletters [kidding]) but it just struck me as odd.
No pattern or anything like that, nothing linking them together, just a collection of crazy damn coincidences.
And if I'm nuts, then it's about time, but has anyone else noticed this?
Matt
