Crypticon season is fast approaching (Memorial Day weekend at the airport Hilton in Seatac for those interested) but I've taken a slightly lesser role with them. It sounds bad to say it because I love all the people I work with but it's difficult to put all your hard work into something only to see your efforts ultimately not bear fruit. It's like Jack's parents giving him money to buy the cow and he comes back with a handful of "magic beans". Okay bad analogy, the magic beans actually wound up unexpectedly paying off.
I've been pouring more and more of my time and effort into the podcast, making contacts in the derby world and generally trying to educate myself better so I can take on a more open role on the show. I've traditionally taken more of a passive one, preferring to pipe up only when I have something really pressing to say but now I've set my sights on broadening my scope and having more to say about everything. We'll see how it goes, I've only just embarked on this road.
Other than that there may be an interesting prospect in the mid-distant future that may or may not be related to a horror hosting gig which may or may not get picked up for television. But you didn't hear that from me.
