I wrote new lyrics to my bands newest song.
I've kind of started writing a few paragraphs instead of poems.
I don't know why I did this, or what I really mean to convey with it, but i rarley know why I do things these days.
Soliloquy
This is where we hung the wise men; this is where my wings once grew.
I clasped my hands to speak to those who begat this holy land and he told me our city walls fold like tidal waves. The architects laughed at what we had done with the tools they had given us to build our utopia.
"Pariahs, holy ghosts. Hide inside your wooden horse, proclaim holy war. Shoot down the seraphim from beneath your shorelines".
A commandment.
We shot down the seraphim from beneath our shoreline. They fell from the clouds and buried their heads into the beaches, amongst deities and philistines. No fish swam in our oceans, a plague.
Shoot down the seraphim, harvest their skulls and wings to protect you from the winter sun, the wrath of gods, the blight of Icarus and Cadmus. We went to war with tidal waves and found our cavalry drowning. Shoot the seraphim, and watch your city walls fold like tidal waves.
in other news, i broke up with my girlfriend today but i have come to terms as to why it happened, it had to. We live too far apart and it was getting too hard for her to keep going and i didnt want to be "that guy".
otherwise my christmas was pretty good too.
it was good to see everyone again, like my little cousins.
