This week has been tough for me. My cat wasn't feeling well last weekend. I finally got him into the vet's Monday AM. Had x-rays & blood drawn for tests. Tuesday AM found out he had kidney failure. The Dr. recommended treatments, but said ultimately JB (my cat's name) may not survive anyways. So I had to have him euthanized. 
I miss him an awful lot!!! I'd had him for 5 years. The fact that I've always had a roomate or a pet (except for about 2-3 weeks between JB & my previous cat, Baby) isn't helping. Coming home to a house devoid of any human or furry friend contact is no fun! His absence is felt very strongly because of this fact.
My friends have been extremely sympathetic & supportive. That's been the best part of this experience. I'll end up getting a new cat eventually. But for now, I'm grieving.

I walked into the kitchen yesterday where the radio was playing the last few bars of the YYY song. Sounded great from what I heard I'll have to catch it again
