after 22 long years of life, the last five of which spent living on my own, i have finally discovered cooking. in the past week or so, i roasted a whole chicken, made chicken soup from the carcass and leftovers, made a potroast, and bought a grill and made my own cheeseburgers and hotdogs. i'm pretty damn proud of me - it's healthier and cheaper ('cept for the actual grill, but it'll pay for itself in time) and damnit just tastes better. why didn't anyone tell me??
being moderately poor can be kinda fun if it's done correctly. it makes me learn stuff. hm.
anyone got any recipes for tasty, relatively inexpensive meals?

1 Beef heart,
1 can of tomato juice
Dashes of pepper and bazil.
Ungodly amounts of garlic and or more godly amounts of onion.
In frying pan, brown the heart with the garlic/onions in a bit of oil, pour in tomato juice, dash with spices, simmer for about an hour.
It's soo very good. It's like a very tender roast.
My favorite way to do steaks is to marinate them in vinigarette dressing for at least an hour on each side. I personaly will eat them as red as I can get em.
