I wrote this yesterday. I don't know why. I just HAD to get it out I suppose.

She slapped him. Hard. Her open palm connected on his smooth bare cheek, the sharp sound seemed loud in comparison to the silence of the apartment. And it hurt. A lot. He didn't even bother trying to hold back the tears as they began to trek earthward down his cheeks. Her eyes spilled tears down her face like a waterfall, and she stared hate at him.. She seethed. She raged at him.
"Is this what you want? Are you so fucking stupid? You want someone as screwed up and wrong as me?! I'm nothing, I'm shit! I'm worthless and you're so fucking stupid because you can't see that! Why would anyone want something like me?" She screamed her frustrations, berating him with her own unease and doubt.
He recoiled, stunned by her blow and her words. Whoever it was that said words can never hurt me was apparently some sort of emotionless thick skinned individual that had never once been moved by a poem, touched by a song, or stung by a simple dismissal. For assuredly her words hurt. It hurt to hear her say them and to see that in her eyes she at least believed what she said, a little. His mind and body screamed at him to tear away from this scene, to go as she had said. His every instinct and nerve wanted to turn and flee, to take the way out she had offered. It would be so easy to simply walk away. Did he want this? Was he truly mad? But somewhere deep down in his heart of hearts another voice rose out of the din and confusion to be heard over all others. It was this voice he listened to, the one that made him stay and grab her fiercely by the shoulders. It pained him to see the momentary acceptance in her eyes. As if she had known all along that all men were cruel monsters and she simply had to push the right buttons to bring out the monster in him. It pained him because he knew then all the abuse and unhappiness that had been her life, and all of it had led her here, to this belief. But no, cruelty was not in his nature, not in him anywhere to do such to someone he cared for. He grabbed her fiercely yes, but also gently, firmly, comfortingly. The acceptance was but a brief flash that turned to genuine surprise as he first pulled her close, then wrapped her in his arms. He looked down at her and never said a word, somewhere that voice in his heart spoke through his eyes to her mind and she heard what it said. She fought him, tried to get away but his strength seemed tenfold its norm, and he held like iron. Then as softly as a sigh he lowered his mouth to hers and brushed his lips against hers, and they kissed. Oh how they did kiss! An epic was written in that kiss, so gentle yet firm, tender and loving. Passion and diligence were in it. His mouth finished the story his eyes had begun, and she heard it all.
You are the one I want, you are everything and anything in this world or the next that I could ever need. And no matter what I will always be with you.
And so she stopped fighting him, instead she slipped her arms around him to embrace him and hold him. And in that moment more than any other before or hence, they were truly in love.

I dunno. I kinda like it. That's pretty much how I want to love and be loved I guess. Later SG land.
