Good weekend! Sucks I gotta ruin it by having a Monday and going to work.
Ah well it was still fun. John "The Mohawk" and I took Friday off from work and headed off to BG to hang out with pookieisinlove since I hadn't seen her in months. We arrived at her work, surprising her a bit (I don't think she took me serious that we were coming to see her until we were there). One awesome sandwich later Mohawk and I were at Finders grabbing some much needed CDs. I made Mohawk suggest something for me to get, he tossed me a copy of Ruiner by A Wilhelm Scream . Listening to it now and I dig it. The others I picked up were a live Guttermouth CD and Weighting by Rollins Band . Good tunes!
Party.
Mohawk also had a copy of Nick Swardson's stand up album, Party. We listened to it and it was hilarious. I've loved Swardson ever since I caught him on Comedy Central a few years ago.
We ended up at the bar that night and hung out with a bunch of the BG folk, some very awesome people I met through Pookie. As we left and walked back to her apartment (we were in NO shape to drive home) there was an awesome group of people having some sort of drum circle thing. They had sidewalk chalk and tambourines and it was awesome, so of course I had to write on the sidewalk that it was in fact amazing. We lost one of our BG folks to the circle, he drabbed a drum, began dancing and playing it and we lost to the circle. I hope he's in a better place now. I skinned my knee pretty good crawling on the sidewalk writing with the chalk apparently. Also Pookie has one of the most comfortable couches ever for passing out on.
Spent Saturday slowly recovering from Friday night, and of course picking up comics. WOOT! Then we all hung out and just BSed around until the wee hours of the morning. All this was followed up by an awesome lazy Sunday playing Age of Conan. What a good weekend. Heard from Sang for the first time in forever as well. Origins is coming up this weekend and I'm going to try and go and enjoy it.
Party!

Yeah the store i am at today i usually at least walk home from. But the store the meeting was at is a bit to far for me to walk from. it would have taken me about 2 hours to walk home. SO it would have been about the same.
