Well hello 2008. I hope my toast from New Year's carries. Here's to a year with less cancer!
I crack me up.
Christmas was a ton of fun. First time I've spent it with my sisters or mother since I moved to Ohio all of five years ago. It was neat. I managed to get a copy of the Simpson's movie from one of them, and was happily entertained by it. And of course my mom made some awesome ham and oh it was fantastic times!
And after Christmas I went and spent a bunch of money on me at the comic shop. Sadly I was a fool and forgot bags and boards. Like a savage I now have a small pile of books unprotected. The horror!
New Year's was fun, without even needing to try. I didn't make any plans since I didn't know how I was going to be feeling (chemo was a few days before you see) and in fact spent the whole day in PJs. Heck as the day wound down I hopped on World of Warcraft and goofed around with a few other buddies that ended up having nothing to do or being unable to do anything. And when the ball dropped I toasted with the Bitch Brigade and hugged and promised them a much better 08 than they had an 07. We had our traditional Buffalo Bits on the eve and black eyed peas on the day. Both were delicious and now all cosmic energies have been balanced and restored to 0. Let the hand of fate play as it will!
Now its only a short 9 days until my birthday, I'll be an amazing quarter of a century old. My how time flies. I remember way back in third grade running around the playground pretending I was Han Solo. Granted I never did stop pretending, but still.
I've watched the Dark Knight trailer like a million times, and I'm still so excited I can hardly wait for it. I need this movie!
So Happy New Year SG Land! Hope '08 is as fun as '07! If not more so of course.
