So I scared th hell out of myself Wednesday. I wasn't eating much, and when I did eat it wasn't always good for me. Side effect of the chemo I just didn't have much appetite. But Wednesday I got a hell of a wake up call, I about fainted, got real light headed and felt real tired. I had me a genuine sugar crash. And I'm not even diabetic.
So there ya go, crazy things you don't even think to worry about when you have cancer, diet is a big one. I have since been to the store and picked up some food. Fruits, veggies, stuff good for me that I should be eating. And no joke, after just a couple days of actually eating food and making sure it wasn't just some crap from a fast food joint, I felt about a million times better. I had energy, went to work and made it through my shift no problem.
Chemo has tossed some curve balls my way thus far, but nothing yet I can't adapt to. I had some joint and muscle pain Friday and into Saturday, but it went away with some rest and simple stretching. Of course Tylenol helped a bunch when I needed it.
So far so good! And a bunch of my friends have all shaved their heads in anticipation of me going bald. And yeah I already started to lose hair, I've seen it on the towel after the shower and other places. But no biggie. At least I'm getting better! The giant golfball sized tumor on my neck is gone! Yay!
